First Bhaktivedanta College's building grows - 2008-02-26

Bhaktivedanta College, situated in the Radhadesh community, in Belgium, opened in September 2002. Its main purpose is to meet the needs of ISKCON’s members for systematic training and education.  Students after graduating can choose where to use their training: directly in Srila Prabhupada’s movement or outside ISKCON yet supporting it in various ways. 

The education of devotees at Bhaktivedanta College is yielding quite tangible results. Big changes can be observed in the students’ behaviour: They become more mature, more focused, and better prepared for spiritual engagements. Obviously, study combined with the temple programme is the basis for this wonderful transformation. Six students graduated in June 2007 and received the first Bachelor of Theology degrees in our partnership with the University of Wales Lampeter.

To accommodate the growing number of students and to begin offering a Leadership and Management program, Bhaktivedanta College needs a complete infrastructure: a school building, student dormitories, dormitories for teachers and staff, and an endowment fund to finance part of its annual operations. We have therefore started a Capital Campaign 2008−13. Every contribution is really needed to realize the infrastructure and will be highly welcomed and appreciated.
